Rochester Media Institute (RMI) is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to empowering youth and adults through media arts, digital technology, and creative entrepreneurship.
Through hands-on training, mentorship, internships, workforce development, and community partnerships, RMI prepares individuals for careers in film, television, podcasting, journalism, photography, graphic design, music production, digital marketing, and emerging media technologies.
Founded by educator, filmmaker, and media producer Shabaka Mu Ausar, MFA, Rochester Media Institute is committed to developing the next generation of storytellers, creators, innovators, and media professionals while strengthening communities through education, creativity, and opportunity.
